Abbey Blu Gel

Abbey Blu Gel gives deep even blueing of gun barrels and other metal parts in a quick and easy to use solution.  Blu Gel is ideal for small repairs to blueing from scratches or wear. With a little care and effort older barrels can be brought back to gunroom condition. It can also be used for blueing parts such as screws in model making.

Benefits:

• You can reblue worn and scratched gun barrels with this easy to use cold blueing method
• Traditional hot blueing methods work best where major work is required but, for minor areas, Abbey Blu Gel is an inexpensive, viable and easy to use alternative.

Directions:

• Once the desired depth of blue is achieved spray Abbey Silicone Gun Oil 35 over the entire barrels to protect from corrosion. This process can be repeated until the required depth of blueing is achieved.
• Gently rub down any scratches to a smooth finish using fine 0000 grade wire wool. Apply Blu Gel to the worn or scratched area, working out for the middle to the outside. Do not attempt to cover the whole area.
• Immediately wash the repaired area preferably with clean running water.
• Dry and reapply Blu Gel.
• Whilst Abbey Degreasing Spray easily removes all oils and greases it is especially formulated to easily remove silicone based oils.
• Gun barrels should be thoroughly degreased using Abbey Degreasing Spray.
